Member FDIC disclosure
Important information about how deposit insurance works with PartnaFi and our banking partners.
PartnaFi is not a bank
PartnaFi, Inc. is a financial technology company. We are not a bank and are not ourselves a Member FDIC. Banking services — including deposit accounts that may hold wallet balances — are provided by one or more FDIC-insured partner banks. Those partner banks are Members FDIC.
FDIC insurance on wallet balances
Funds in your PartnaFi wallet are held with FDIC-insured banking partners through Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) arrangements. Eligible deposits are covered by FDIC insurance up to $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each ownership category, through those banking partners — the same limits that apply to other deposits at Member FDIC banks.
What FDIC insurance does and does not cover
- Covered (when held as eligible deposits with the partner bank): qualifying wallet / cash balances held for you at the partner bank.
- Not FDIC insured: investment returns, pooled investment fund performance, or other non-deposit products. Those can lose value. See any fund disclosures before you participate.
- Circle contributions and payouts are member arrangements for rotating savings — not investment products and not a guarantee of returns.
Funds held apart from PartnaFi
Circle funds and wallet balances are held with our banking partner(s), separate from PartnaFi’s own corporate accounts. PartnaFi provides software, identity, and payment rails; your eligible deposits sit with the partner bank.
Partner banks
The name of the specific partner bank(s) serving your account will be shown in the PartnaFi app and on account statements once banking features are live. Until launch, treat references to “our banking partner” as the FDIC-insured institution(s) we contract with for BaaS.
